This model, in .22 LR caliber was introduced in 1949. This blued 6-shot revolver has a 102 mm (4 in) barrel and an adjustable rear sight in combat style. As with the model 17, the cylinder chambers are counter bored. This weapon has a walnut grip. In 1957, this model was renamed the Model 18. The following are the different model numbers together with their modifications:
1959: Model 18-1, changes to the ejector bar
1961: Model 18-2, modifications to the trigger guard any cylinder stop
1967: Model 18-3, modification of the adjusting screw on the rear sight
1977: Model 18-4, changes to the cylinder arm. This weapon was taken out of production in 1985.
